Gong Hay Fat Choy!

Happy Lunar New Year!

This is the first year that I will not be home to celebrate Chinese New Year. My family was never particularly traditional, I grew up in a very American household, but I always appreciated the times we spent together to honor our heritage. I remember going downtown to Washington, D.C. every year to watch the lion dance, and parade from the window of my grandparents family association building, eating pork buns & egg tarts, and running around with my cousins. Those are some of my fondest memories – spending time with my PohPoh and Grandma Seto.
